Minicourse: Utilization of Stable Isotopes in Environmental Forensics
Closing 2021 on a high note, RENIF promoted another gold standard training event: the mini-course "Utilization of Stable Isotopes in Environmental Forensics" taught by Professor Emeritus of the University of Oklahoma,Dr. Paul Philp, pioneer in the field of environmental forensics and one of the biggest names in the field of isotopic organic geochemistry, author of several publications.
3rd Workshop on Forensic Isotopes
The National Forensic Isotopes Network promoted from August 9 to 13, 2021 the 3rd edition of the National Workshop on Forensic Isotopes. More than 400 people participated in the event, which featured 8 mini-courses and several lectures, in addition to the RENIF Jovem side event, which brought together students and speakers from Brazil and other countries. The workshop brought together federal and state criminal experts, researchers, students and other professionals working in the field of isotopic science, as well as representatives from other countries.

2nd Wokshop on Forensic Isotopes
The National Forensic Isotopes Network promoted the 2nd edition of the National Workshop on Forensic Isotopes from the 6th to the 10th of July. More than 200 people participated in the event, which featured 44 hours of programming, 10 mini-courses and 20 lectures. The workshop brought together federal and state criminal experts, researchers, students and other professionals working in the field of isotopic science, as well as representatives from 8 other countries.

1st Wokshop on Forensic Isotopes
The 1st National Workshop on Forensic Isotopes took place on November 27 and 28, 2019 in Brasília and provided lectures related to forensic sciences focusing on methodology with stable isotopes. In addition to dozens of technical lectures and round tables, the event also had working groups to develop protocols for collecting and preparing samples of water, soil, wood, drugs, animal and human tissues for isotopic analysis for forensic purposes. With a total of approximately 100 participants, the workshop had representatives from more than 20 research institutions, criminal expertise, public security, government agencies and private companies in Brazil and abroad.
